Freeze Warning in Effect Tonight Across Louisiana and Mississippi
A Freeze Warning has been issued for tonight across Louisiana and Mississippi.
Temperatures are expected to drop to or below freezing levels, especially in areas closer to the North Shore.
The warning will be in effect from 10:00 pm tonight until 10:00 am tomorrow.
The river parishes across the North Shore, all of South Mississippi, and parts of the South Shore, including Homa La Rose up through Lafitte, are all included in the warning.
Coastal areas are also expected to be affected.
The small craft advisory will also remain in effect until 1:00 pm today.
Today’s high temperature is expected to be around 53 degrees, much cooler than the average high of 73 degrees for this time of year.
Tomorrow, the first day of spring, is expected to be another chilly day, with temperatures remaining in the 50s.
