Residents of Pawleys Island in Georgetown County can take advantage of a free shredding event on Monday.

The event, which will take place at the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce on Pawleys Island, will run from 11 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon.

Attendees are invited to bring their old receipts, statements, and other personal documents to be shredded for free.

Each car is limited to three boxes or three bags of documents, and attendees do not have to remove binders, paper clips, or staples.
