Breaking news out of Franklin this morning regarding a shooting incident at a local hotel. The city of Franklin has provided new information about the incident that occurred last night around 9:30. An argument escalated into violence on the first floor of the Cool Springs Marriott Hotel.
Two individuals were injured and have been transported to a nearby hospital. Currently, the conditions of the victims are unknown. The shooter fled the scene but was apprehended in a neighboring area and is now in custody.
It appears that there was a large gathering at the hotel on Saturday night. However, there is no immediate danger to anyone else at this time. Franklin Chief of Police, Deborah Fauler, confirmed the safety of the remaining individuals.
