Four people have been transported to hospitals in the San Luis Obispo (SLO) area following a two-car accident that occurred on South Higuera Street near the Summit Creek Bridge.

The crash, which occurred at approximately 7:00 PM, involved a black BMW traveling northbound on I.

The BMW crossed over the yellow line and collided head-on with a Chevy Equinox.

The impact of the crash caused the Equinox to crash into a bridge railing.

Emergency responders from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and CAL FIRE arrived at the scene to assess the situation and provide assistance.

According to CAL FIRE officials, the four individuals involved in the accident were subsequently transported to local hospitals.
