Residents of Fort Wayne can expect moderate to heavy rainfall and embedded thunderstorms this Thursday morning, with additional periods of rain and showers throughout the day.

Meteorologist Nathan Goodly warns of possible localized flooding due to pockets of heavy rain, and temperatures will drop from a high of 53 degrees in the morning to the mid-40s in the afternoon, with winds shifting to a northwesterly direction.

Lingering showers are expected in the afternoon, with just a slight chance of rain overnight.

On Friday, temperatures will only rise to the mid-40s, with breezy winds gusting up to 25 miles per hour.

The next system arrives on Friday night and will bring heavy rain, followed by colder temperatures and possible snowflakes mixing in on Saturday.

Sunday will be partly cloudy with a high of 51 degrees, while Monday and Tuesday will see temperatures in the 40s with slight precipitation chances.

A potential rain chance on Friday precedes a warmer day on April 1st, with temperatures reaching the upper 50s.
