Former US Senator Martha Mall recently spoke out about her terrifying experience when she was attacked while jogging in an Iowa Park. She described feeling a warrior-like sense of determination, refusing to let the attack take place. Mall, a former fighter pilot, explained to ABC news that the incident occurred when she was jogging in the park at around 11:00 a.m. Surveillance footage captured her jogging with the alleged attacker close behind.
Moments later, she was attacked from behind and held in a bear hug while being molested. However, Mall bravely fought back, throwing a water bottle at the perpetrator and chasing him into the bushes, all while calling 911 for help.
Thanks to her quick thinking, the suspect, 24-year-old Dominic Henton, was arrested by police two days later. Mall expressed relief that the ordeal was over, but also shared that the attack reopened old wounds from an incident where she was a rape survivor during her time in the Air Force. Despite this, she emphasized that trauma should not hold anyone back and encouraged others to move forward..
