Transitional Improvements: Helping Homeless & Formerly Incarcerated Grocery Store Shooting; 1 Injured, 1 in Custody

[Music] The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office announced today that it has closed the case against former priest Alex Crow, who fled to Italy with a recent high school graduate. The Mobile County District Attorney’s office also concluded its investigation.

Sheriff Paul Bur stated that the couple is now married and he still views the young woman as a victim. However, there is insufficient evidence to proceed with a criminal case against Alex Crow. The 18-year-old woman he left the country with is not cooperating with investigators, making her cooperation crucial for the case. The Sheriff’s Office had been looking into when their relationship began and the woman’s age at the time.

Crow used to have access to students at Miguel Tulan Catholic High School and heard confessions on campus. The Sheriff’s Office released two love letters written by Crow to the young woman, one of which claimed they were married. Sheriff Bur believes that Crow groomed her from a young age, and he urges anyone with information about Crow’s relationships with students to come forward..
