Former Music Director Finds a New Family in Middle School Band
Rose and Shamrock, a former music director, has found a new musical family in a group of talented teenagers from a middle school band.
Although she has always loved music, she had few opportunities to perform until recently.
During a concert off-campus, Rose heard music coming from a group of middle schoolers and decided to listen.
She loved their style of music and thought she might fit in with the band, even though she was much older than the other members.
Rose began playing along with the band, and soon became a part of their musical family.
She now attends band practice every morning at 7:30 am and has gotten better and better with each session.
For Rose, being a part of the middle school band has made her feel useful again, and she loves being able to share her musical talents with others.
It just goes to show that no matter how old you are, it’s never too late to find a new family and pursue your passions.
