The fog in Okeechobee County is not as thick today compared to yesterday, which is good news. However, temperatures are still warm in the lower 70s and the humidity is near 90%, making it very sticky outside. The Treasure Coast is mostly dry, except for Boca Raton where there are a couple of light showers. This is due to the southeast wind flow, which is less than ten miles per hour.
In contrast, the weather is calmer up north across the Treasure Coast and Okeechobee County. Further south, the winds are warm and less than five miles per hour outside Tampa. The temperatures are in the 70s, mid to upper 70s down south, and it feels like temperatures are actually in the 80s and lower 90s across the Treasure Coast.
Although it is in the lower 70s, it is still warm. The hourly forecast shows low rain chances for the next few hours, followed by clear skies by 2 or 3:00 in the afternoon. After the sun goes down around four or five, temperatures will cool down a little bit to the lower 80s in some areas and upper 70s. However, it will feel like temperatures are in the 90s for a couple of hours in the afternoon, just like yesterday. The updated future track for today shows a few light showers impacting the afternoon hours, mainly west of the Turnpike area. More clouds will build in tomorrow morning, resulting in partly to mostly cloudy conditions on Monday.
These clouds will persist on Tuesday, Wednesday, and part of Thursday as well. Rain chances will increase starting tomorrow with a few passing showers, and the winds will also start to increase on Tuesday. Rain chances will be near 40% on Tuesday afternoon.
Wednesday and Thursday will have impact weather due to the potential for heavy rains and scattered thunderstorms in the area. There is also a potential for isolated flooding concerns.
The tropical moisture will move over the Bahamas and offshore, leaving us with a lot of sunshine on Friday. Temperatures will be in the lower 80s as well. The winds will start to increase on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday and Thursday.
Wind speeds can reach up to 25mph with wind gusts of 25 to 35mph near the coastal area, starting on Wednesday. On the waters, conditions are looking good with seas less than two feet, high tide after seven, warm water temperatures in the lower 80s, and low tide after one. The seven-day forecast looks good today, but tomorrow we can expect some moisture with more clouds building in..
