A Florida woman woke up to an unexpected guest in her backyard pool this week.
The guest was an 11-foot, 400-pound alligator.
The woman and her husband were surprised since they don’t live near the water.
The husband called the Florida Fish and Wildlife alligator management hotline, and agents quickly arrived to remove the alligator.
Fortunately, no one was hurt, including their dogs.
Despite the scary experience, the woman came away with a cool story to tell and a couple of valuable lessons.
She now plans to be more aware of her surroundings before walking outside.
