Florida Senate to Debate Abortion Bill Tomorrow
The Florida State Senate will be debating a bill tomorrow that would ban abortions after six weeks of pregnancy.
The bill was signed by Vero Beach State Senator Erin Grau.
Meanwhile, a similar bill is also making its way through the State House, which would allow abortions up to 15 weeks in cases of rape or incest, but require women to present documentation to prove they were victims.
In other news, Boca Raton Police are warning residents of scammers pretending to be officers and telling them they have to pay a fine.
The police remind residents that they will never call asking for payment or threaten to arrest someone if they don’t pay a fine over the phone.
On a positive note, Palm Beach County is launching a new program that will allow lifeguards and water safety instructors to get certified for free.
The certification normally costs up to $400, but the county will provide the pool space and staff while the Children’s Services Council will cover the processing fees for certification.
The first classes will start next month.
Weather-wise, temperatures are expected to be cooler today and tomorrow, with highs in the low to mid seventies and below average.
Heavy rains are possible Sunday night into Monday morning, with lots of clouds today and tomorrow.
More sunshine is expected from Tuesday to Friday, with highs a little bit warmer.
