Florida Cities Among Top Procrastinators for Tax Filing
Taxes are something most people dread, and according to a recent report, Floridians are among the top procrastinators when it comes to filing.
In fact, the state has three cities in the top ten, including Orlando, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale.
A third of Americans wait until the last minute to file their taxes, with some cities putting it off more than others.
One man in South Florida said the cost of living in the area is so expensive that he filed for an extension to delay his taxes until October.
Another person said they put off filing until the last minute because they don’t want to face the inevitable: paying money back.
Taxes are an expensive and stressful burden for many Americans, and it’s no surprise that so many people wait until the deadline to file.
While tax day is never a cause for celebration, it’s important to remember that filing on time can prevent penalties and fines from the IRS.
So even if you’re a procrastinator, don’t wait too long to file your taxes this year.
