A man was shot in the leg at the Admiral Apartments in Vicksburg, following a fight during a gathering on Thursday night, according to local police.
The victim, identified as 22-year-old Trayvon Barnett, was transported to the hospital by ambulance, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Authorities are currently searching for a suspect in connection with the shooting.
One other person at the gathering sustained minor injuries to her hand while trying to intervene in the fight.
