A Lithium-Ion battery was the cause of a deadly fire in the Bronx, according to the FDNY.

The incident occurred on Olinville Avenue in Allerton at around 4 pm, resulting in the death of a 64-year-old man.

Despite the First Responders’ efforts to rush him to the hospital, he could not be saved.

This marks the 33rd fire in New York City caused by Lithium-Ion batteries this year alone.

The FDNY has cautioned the public to be aware of the potential fire hazard posed by these batteries.
