1 Killed, 2 Injured in Phoenix Stabbing Incident at Home with Children Present, Police Say
Phoenix, Arizona – A man has been killed, and two others have sustained injuries in a stabbing incident that occurred inside a residence in Phoenix, as reported by the local police department on Tuesday, May 16.
Authorities received a distress call around 6 p.m.
regarding a stabbing incident in the vicinity of Cave Creek and Greenway roads.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement discovered three individuals who had been harmed in the attack.
While the names of the victims and the suspect have not yet been disclosed, the investigation is currently ongoing.
Residents living near 24th Street and Walton Lane expressed shock and fear following the horrific stabbing incident.
One neighbor, a single mother, expressed her concerns about protecting herself and her son, stating, “It’s nuts, I want to protect my son and myself as well.”
According to the police, a woman injured in the incident was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Additionally, another man received treatment at the scene from the Phoenix Fire Department.
However, tragically, the third victim, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Isabel, a resident in the area, acknowledged that while crime is not uncommon in their neighborhood, this incident felt too close to home.
She stated, “I’ve heard about it, and I hear gunshots and fireworks pretty often, but I haven’t seen anything face to face.”
Disturbingly, there were children present inside the home during the stabbing; fortunately, they were unharmed.
The police have yet to provide any information about the individual responsible for the attack.
The incident has left the community on high alert, with residents expressing their determination to prioritize their safety and the well-being of their families.
