A fatal accident occurred early this morning, resulting in the death of one individual. The incident took place around 6:00 am on state highway 70, a few miles south of Nichols, Iowa. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the collision occurred in a rural area of Muscatine County when one vehicle crossed over the center line and collided with another car. The driver of the first car, who was not wearing a seatbelt, succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
