One Dead in Delaware County Crash
Delaware County, OH – A fatal crash occurred early Saturday morning near Lewis Center, claiming the life of one individual.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the incident, which took place on US-23 shortly before 12:30 a.m.
According to authorities, the driver of a 2006 Chevy Equinox was traveling southbound near Olentangy Meadows Drive when the vehicle crossed the centerline and collided with a semi-truck.
Tragically, the driver of the Equinox, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The driver of the semi-truck emerged unharmed.
In response to the crash, US-23 was closed for several hours to facilitate the investigation.
Authorities are actively working to determine the factors that led to the collision.
In a separate incident, the Columbus Police Department is also investigating a shooting that took place in Clintonville last night, resulting in the death of one individual.
