y Tamashiro Khon from 2 News is reporting that the family of a 66-year-old man in Holly, Eva is seeking help after he was attacked near their home. The man cannot remember the incident, and his family is searching for witnesses to gather information about what transpired.
Manolo Morales provides further details. Bobby Dawson, while walking home from a nearby restaurant in Holly, Eva on Wednesday night around 8:30 PM, suddenly lost consciousness. In his own words, he recalls being drugged with something stronger.
When he regained consciousness, he noticed loss of vision in his right eye. This led him to the hospital, where he remained for four days. Doctors informed him that his right eye’s vision is permanently lost, and he also sustained a bruise on the top of his head. The family believes that someone had attacked him during that time. Initially, they wondered if Bobby had simply fallen on his own, but doctors ruled out this possibility, stating that his injuries were not consistent with a fall. The family clarified that nothing was stolen from Bobby; he had his wallet, cell phone, and keys with him.
They speculate that the attacker may have been startled and fled due to the fear of being caught. Desperate for answers, the family has been searching the neighborhood for any witnesses or potential surveillance camera footage that could shed light on the incident. They question why someone would randomly beat Bobby on the sidewalk at 8:30 PM without any intention of robbing him. Feeling shaken by the attack, the family vows to continue their search for the truth and urges anyone with information to come forward. They emphasize their love for the community and their desire to feel safe once again.
