Portland braces for more rain as false spring comes to an end

As the official start of spring approaches, Portland residents were hoping for more warm and sunny days after a stretch of pleasant weather this month.

However, meteorologist Joe warns that the recent sunshine was just a false spring, as rainy conditions are expected to return tomorrow afternoon.

According to Joe, a front moving in from the south will bring mild temperatures and showers throughout the region, with rainfall amounts expected to be between a tenth and a quarter of an inch.

The dry weather will return late tomorrow night and into Monday morning, with some spotty showers possible.

Snow showers are also expected in the higher elevations of the Oregon Cascades.

Unfortunately, the rainy and cool weather is expected to continue for the rest of the month, with temperatures remaining below average.

The warmest days are predicted to be on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, with clear skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 50s.

While Portland residents may be disappointed by the return of the rain, they can take solace in the fact that this month’s dry and pleasant weather was the best stretch of the year so far.

However, as Joe notes, there are no long stretches of dry weather in the forecast for the coming weeks.
