Former President Donald Trump testified in a Manhattan courtroom in a $250 million civil fraud case brought against him and his company by New York’s attorney general. Trump’s outburst during the trial resulted in the judge reprimanding his lawyers to control him.

Trump, defiant and confrontational, clashed with prosecutors and the judge during his testimony. On Monday, inside a New York City courtroom, Trump refused to give simple yes or no answers to the questions posed by the New York State Attorney. Trump and his children, who are also defendants in the case, have already been found liable for fraud in the $250 million lawsuit filed by New York Attorney General Leticia James. The Attorney General’s office accused Trump of artificially inflating the value of his assets, such as Mar-a-Lago, Trump Tower, and the Seven Springs Family Estate, by over $ billion in order to gain better financial terms. This act is illegal, as a regular person cannot manipulate property values for personal benefit.

Despite the clashes in court, Trump notably admitted that he played a role in assessing the values of his properties, occasionally suggesting adjustments. Overall, the trial was marked by explosive moments, with Trump’s defiance towards the prosecutors and the judge being evident.
