Transitional Improvements: Helping Homeless & Formerly Incarcerated Grocery Store Shooting; 1 Injured, 1 in Custody

After informing you about a study on Montana evictions during the pandemic, we also found that the eviction contributes to social and emotional difficulties in households with children. Among the participating households, there were 85 reported adverse childhood experiences in addition to the eviction.

Nearly 70% of these experiences involved mental illness, specifically depression or anxiety. Other adverse experiences mentioned in the report include domestic violence or abuse within the home, a family death, and a divorce or separation. The report emphasizes that resources are available to provide assistance. One of the benefits of this report is to raise awareness about these resources and ensure that we are making every effort to spread the word effectively.
