The East Lansing Trojans clinched the district title with a dominant display of lights out shooting against Waverly.
The Warriors had won their last seven games and were seeking revenge for their previous loss to the Trojans in February.
However, from the start of the game, East Lansing showed no signs of slowing down.
Deontay Macy led the way with a silky smooth jump shot as they outscored Waverly 18-5 in the first quarter.
Waverly tried to play catch-up with a 9-0 run, but East Lansing’s Cameron Hudson sealed the deal with a spectacular dunk.
Coach Ray Mitchell was pleased with his team’s performance but reminded them that they have more games to play, with Kalamazoo Central next on their schedule.
