Bay Area rapper and entrepreneur E-40, a regular at Golden State Warriors games, was ejected from the NBA Playoffs game against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday.
Videos on social media showed him visibly upset as he was led away by security.
E-40 claims that he was a victim of racial bias, as a fan had been heckling him throughout the game.
Some players, such as Gary Payton II and Klay Thompson, voiced their support for E-40, with Thompson calling him one of the team’s biggest supporters.
Sports analyst Jalen Rose released a video on social media saying that E-40 deserved an apology.
The Sacramento Kings have launched an investigation into the incident and released a statement saying that they take these claims seriously and are investigating the facts and circumstances regarding the situation.
