A driver crashed her car into the Indian River Community Center in Chesapeake, injuring one person.

The incident occurred at around 4 PM on Old Greenbriar Road, with the driver crashing through the building 22 feet before hitting a cinder employee near the front entrance.

The woman who was hit was taken to the hospital in critical condition but is now stable.

The driver, however, was unharmed.

As a result of the crash, the community center will be closed until the necessary repairs are made.

Additionally, several events scheduled to take place at the building will be relocated to other locations.
