Breaking news out of New Jersey, where police are currently at the scene of a double in the parking lot of a hotel in Lyon. Good afternoon, I’m David Navaro, and I’m Liz Chon.
Police were called to the woodspring Suites on Lyndon Avenue, where they discovered the lifeless bodies of a man and a woman inside a car in the parking area. Our reporter Anthony Johnson is live in Lyndon with the latest details. This incident took place in a side parking lot of the hotel, with police and investigators still present as they conduct their investigation.
The in question, where the victims were found, was discovered around 12:10pm this afternoon authorities were summoned to the scene. The van had already been parked here since earlier today.
had the opportunity to speak with a hotel resident who mentioned seeing the van in the parking lot early in the morning, but they didn’t observe anything suspicious at the time. The van had been parked here for quite some time. The joint investigation is being carried out by the Lynden Police Bureau, the Union County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Lyon police.
All information regarding this case will be provided by Union County. It has been established that both victims were shot, but further details on the case are still pending.
Our news helicopter was dispatched to the site shortly after the incident occurred, and authorities have assured the public that there is no danger. However, those living in the hotel and surrounding area are understandably concerned when encountering the significant police presence at the scene. The police and investigators will remain there for an extended period as they continue their inquiry.
