Former US President Donald Trump has claimed on his social media platform that he will be arrested on Tuesday as part of an investigation into hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election.

The Manhattan district attorney’s office is conducting a criminal investigation into the payments.

However, there has been no confirmation of Trump’s claims, and he has not been charged in the probe.

Following Trump’s post, his spokesperson released a statement saying there has been no notification of an arrest, and the former president is rightfully highlighting his innocence.

Meanwhile, the NYPD is on alert for any possible security threats and protests from Trump supporters.
