A deputy from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office was severely injured in a crash that occurred near the Florida Turnpike early this morning.

The crash involved the deputy’s cruiser and a white Ford truck.

Both individuals involved were taken to the hospital.

The deputy’s vehicle was wrapped around a metal box on the scene, while the Ford truck was completely crumpled.

The accident happened just before 6:00 am along Indiantown Road in Jupiter.

Investigators are currently on the scene, taking photos and gathering evidence.

The northbound ramps to 95 to go to Indiantown Road are closed for now, but the southbound and northbound lanes on 95 and the Turnpike are closed due to a separate accident.

More details are expected to be released by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office as the investigation continues.
