We have been following the events since 8:00, which involve a fatal crash following a police pursuit in northwest Oklahoma City. The incident began with a traffic stop at 1/78 in MacArthur at approximately 6:00 this morning, during which the driver fled from the scene. This pursuit came to an end on Hefner Highway 74 when the suspect crashed. Law enforcement suspects the individual may have been involved in a burglary from yesterday.
Unfortunately, the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, lost their life at the scene. Currently, live footage from our ODOT traffic camera shows that Highway 74 southbound is closed in that area..
