Transitional Improvements: Helping Homeless & Formerly Incarcerated Grocery Store Shooting; 1 Injured, 1 in Custody

Good and welcome back on this Tuesday. Starting off, we have Laura who will provide updates on the weather.

Yesterday, we experienced a cool down with temperatures near 70, which was really nice. Today, however, we can expect less wind and temperatures closer to the average for this time of year.

There will be rain chances starting tomorrow, so today will be the only dry day before the transition. Looking at the live footage in Chicago, there doesn’t appear to be much change compared to yesterday. We will have less wind today and a noticeable cool down already in the morning. Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 40s to low 50s in different areas. Moving on to Gary, the temperature is currently 52 degrees with no rain in sight. Though there are some clouds, we can anticipate a few hours of sunshine this morning before the sky becomes cloudy in the afternoon and evening.

Showers are expected to develop late tonight and continue into Wednesday. While it won’t be heavy rainfall, we can expect about a tenth of an inch. The main focus will be the fluctuating temperatures tomorrow, but the rest of the week will be relatively calm and cooler.

There will be a Bears game in the second half of the week, and if you’re attending, be prepared for a bit of a breeze. Temperatures will be around 45 degrees at kickoff, dropping to the low 40s by 11 PM. Today, we can expect cool and comfortable weather in the afternoon with some sunshine in the morning and increasing clouds later on.

High temperatures will reach 53 degrees at O’Hare and the mid-50s in Aurora. However, areas further south and west will be slightly milder.

The wind off the lake will keep things cooler in that direction. Tonight, showers will develop with a low temperature of 46. Looking ahead at the 7-day forecast, tomorrow will see highs in the upper 50s, while areas south of Chicago may even reach the 60s. Wednesday will be cooler with plenty of sunshine.

The weekend will be pleasant with temperatures in the 50s on Saturday and Sunday..
