John Carillo, an 84-year-old inmate at ACI, who was convicted of murdering a correctional officer, has passed away, according to the R.I.
Department of Corrections.
Carillo had a notorious history of attacking correctional officers and was convicted in 1973 for the murder of corrections officer Donald Price.
He had also been found guilty of stabbing another correctional officer with a hand knife in 2018.
Carillo passed away early this morning.
