The board has appointed a new Vice Chair to replace Felicia Franklin, who was recently voted out after a video surfaced showing her passed out outside a sports bar. Christopher King is live in Jonesborugh tonight, where the board made their decision. Christopher? That’s right, Russ Courtney. The board has selected Demand Davis as the new Vice Chair, and both the board and voters believe it is time to move forward.

Commissioner Felicia Franklin walked out of the Clayton County board meeting without answering our questions. She disagrees with her removal from the position, considering it to be unfair and a bad move. Margaret Bryant, a resident, believes the board should have been more forgiving, as everyone makes mistakes and should not be judged solely on their conduct. Orlando Gooden expresses disappointment in Franklin’s actions, stating that she let down the people she represents.

Franklin claims that someone drugged her at the sports bar in late September, but the police found no evidence to support her claim. They released a video showing Franklin passed out outside the bar, and a toxicology report indicated alcohol and cannabis consumption in her system.

Chairman Jeff Turner defended the decision to remove Franklin as Vice Chair, emphasizing that commissioners must hold themselves to high standards in order to represent the citizens of Clayton County in a respectable manner..
