Congressman Tony Gonzalez: Sending Troops is the Wrong Approach, Immigration Judges Needed Instead
Congressman Tony Gonzalez has voiced his opposition to the Biden Administration’s decision to send troops to the border.
Speaking to Border Report this morning, he suggested that sending 1,500 immigration judges would be a better approach to the situation.
According to Gonzalez, these immigration judges should be responsible for hearing the cases of those who have come over illegally, and they should be able to do so in a matter of days rather than years.
For those who do not qualify for asylum, they should be sent back to their country of origin.
The Biden Administration has announced that it will deploy 1,500 troops to the southern border in one week.
However, Gonzalez believes that immigration judges are a more appropriate solution to the problem.
In other news, the city is beginning the process of finding its next police chief following the sudden and unexpected departure of the previous one.
