32-Year-Old Charged with Murder for Stabbing Death of Promising 17-Year-Old Boy Congressman George Santos Denies Allegations of Credit Card Skimming Scheme Involvement

Congressman George Santos has denied allegations of collaborating with a former associate on a credit card skimming scheme.

The former associate, Gustavo Roberta Trella, claimed that Santos taught him how to skim card information and clone cards.

The FBI declined to comment on the roles of informants in their investigations, and the Secret Service confirmed they received Trella’s declaration.

Santos claims he was an informant for the government and assisted law enforcement in Seattle.

The House Ethics Committee has launched an investigation into Santos’s background, which could lead to a criminal referral or expulsion from Congress if any wrongdoing is found.

Santos appeared in court and was interviewed by investigators, but he has not been guaranteed immunity.
