Residents of Compton in California have expressed their shock and fear after a mob looted a convenience store and took over several streets in the area.
Eyewitness reports suggest that up to 500 people may have been involved in the looting and street takeovers throughout the night.
Customers at the store have described the incident as unbelievable and scary, and are concerned that the mob may return.
The Compton Sheriff’s Office has arrested at least one person in connection with the incident, which is believed to have been caused by street racers taking over intersections across the city.
The store clerk who hid in the bathroom during the looting is said to be doing okay.
