line of people stretches around the corner on the Upper East Side, but it’s not for the latest trendy restaurant. Fox Sharon Cley reveals that this line is actually a show of support for a coffee shop after its employees abruptly quit.
The owner had displayed pictures of hostages held by Hamas, which upset the team. However, the Jewish community rallied together to support the owner, with customers lining up around the block.
Additionally, neighbors and local business owners pitched in to help, with a Hunter College student even volunteering to work at the shop. Customers were also eager to buy from the cafe, as the owner was donating part of the proceeds to help Israel.
The sense of unity among the Jewish community during these difficult times is heartwarming. The support has been so overwhelming that at one point, the café ran out of coffee cups, and customers gladly brought their own..
