Windy Conditions to Continue Across the Area as Cold Front Approaches

Local 23 News at 10 Weather on March 16 reports that the winds have been pretty strong across the area and are expected to pick up even more tomorrow morning as a cold front makes its way through.

Future wind gusts are projected to reach 30-36 miles per hour in some areas.

The front is expected to pass through by 6 a.m., but South Padre Island will still experience strong winds throughout Saturday.

The winds are coming in from the north, making it feel much cooler outside.

The area could also experience some rain on Friday and Saturday, with the best chance of showers on Sunday and Monday.

Rainfall totals could range from a quarter of an inch to an inch, with temperatures dropping into the 50s and 40s.

The South Padre Island outlook for tomorrow is around 73 degrees, with possible storms early and low tide at 5:41 a.m.

The seven-day forecast for the beach shows temperatures in the 60s with a chance of rain, except for Tuesday and Wednesday when temperatures are expected to reach the 70s.

Spring is set to kick off on Monday.
