Coast Guards are searching for three American citizens who went missing while sailing from Mexico to San Diego.

The missing sailors have been identified as Carrie O’Brien, Frank O’Brien, and William Gross.

They left Mazatlan, Mexico on April 4th and were supposed to stop in Cabo San Lucas on April 6th.

However, there was no record of them arriving at their destination.

The Coast Guard says that conditions were not optimal for the type of trip they were on when they began their voyage.

The families of the three sailors have been pushing the sailing community in Southern California to join the search, with hundreds of boats assisting in the search efforts.

The Mexican Navy is leading the search and rescue efforts as the three sailors were last heard from while in Mexican waters.

The U.S Coast Guard will continue to assist in the search.

Kerry O’Brien, one of the missing sailors, has ties to Coronado, San Diego.

The families of the missing sailors are hoping for the best and asking for prayers during this agonizing time.
