In Miami Gardens, a former employee named Javon Attiba Brown, who worked as a security guard and football coach, has been arrested for allegedly sending explicit messages to a student. This news has caused disappointment among students at Miami Carol City Senior High, with some feeling traumatized by the incident. Police claim that Brown sent inappropriate messages to minors, including a 14-year-old, on Instagram. Some female students expressed their repulsion towards his alleged behavior and emphasized the need for better security and supervision at the school.

Brown has stated that he thought the student he conversed with was an adult. He now faces multiple charges, including the use of a computer to solicit a child for sexual conduct.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools promptly terminated his employment after learning of the allegations and stated that such conduct will not be tolerated. The district will also ensure that Brown is prevented from seeking future employment within the district. Brown’s arraignment.
