China successfully launched a new weather satellite, Fengyun-3 07, into orbit on Sunday, April 17.
The Long March-4B rocket carrying the satellite took off at 09:36 local time from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China.
The satellite is expected to provide crucial services for weather forecasting, climate change response, and ecological conservation.
The mission was the 471st flight of the Long March carrier rockets, marking another achievement in China’s growing space program.
