Yesterday, it was even colder and raw, and I almost texted you to ask what was going on because the temperatures were fluctuating so much.
I really like how you connected the dots with the camera footage. This morning, the roller coaster ride continues. We were in the mid-50s yesterday, but today we’re back in the lower 60s.
Temperatures will climb a bit before dropping again, but then they will climb back up and reach the lower 70s by the end of the 7-day forecast. This morning, we can see beautiful fall colors in Valentine as we look towards the Queen City. Yesterday, the drizzle made it difficult to see anything. However, this morning, although there is dense cloud cover, the atmosphere is not as moist, and temperature remain steady for now. In the mountains, it’s pretty cold with temperatures in the mid-30s.
However, the wind is relatively light, so there is not much of a wind chill. The sky conditions will clear quickly, starting from the north and west before moving towards the south and east. The mountains and Foothills will see clearer skies first, followed by the rest of the Piedmont as the rain begins to dissipate. Currently, there is only a 20% to 30% chance of rain in most areas for the next few hours.
By lunchtime, we will be completely dry, with a few remaining showers in York County and Chester, and some activity south of 85. As we approach noon, the sunshine will return and temperatures will reach the upper 50s to lower 60s. Although slightly warmer than yesterday, we will still be a few degrees below average.
