Tragic Accident on 60 Freeway in Industry Leaves Child Dead and Multiple People Injured
An early morning wrong-way hit-and-run crash on the 60 Freeway in Industry has resulted in a child’s death and multiple injuries on Wednesday morning.
According to a preliminary investigation, the driver of a Hyundai iHyundai crashed and spun out just after 4:00 am on the westbound 60 Freeway before the Crossroads Parkway exit, near the City of Industry.
As a result of the crash, the Hyundai faced the wrong way and then took off at high speed, colliding with multiple vehicles.
Sadly, an 11-year-old girl who was traveling in a Toyota Corolla was killed in the accident, while at least two others suffered injuries.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities are currently searching for the driver who fled the scene of the accident.
