Central Alabama Braces for Showers and Storms Through the Weekend
Central Alabama is expected to experience showers and thunderstorms at various times through the weekend, according to local weather reports.
As of this morning, the area is cloudy and mild, with temperatures in the 50s and 60s.
Some spotty light rain or sprinkles are expected, with the possibility of showers throughout the day, and even an isolated thunderstorm in the afternoon.
However, it is not expected to rain all day in any one location.
High temperatures for today are expected to be in the low and mid 70s, with some northern areas being slightly cooler.
Though much of the area is covered in rain clouds, much of it has not yet reached the surface, though some locations are experiencing light rain.
Radar shows stronger storms to the west, but they are expected to stay south of the area.
Rain chances will follow the pollen count into the medium range for the weekend and into early next week.
The storms are not expected to be severe, and not all areas will see rainfall, with some locations experiencing warmer temperatures instead.
Humidity is expected to increase mid-week.
