Six pedestrians, including two young girls, were injured after a vehicle jumped an Upper Manhattan curb on Wednesday evening, according to the police.

The incident took place on Broadway in Washington Heights, where the car smashed into a building after striking the victims.

The injured victims, including the two three-year-old girls, were taken to nearby hospitals and are reported to be in stable condition.

Investigators are piecing together what caused the crash, but it is believed that the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The driver initially left the scene but later returned and is currently in police custody.

The incident has left residents in the area shaken and terrified.
