A 33-year-old woman from California was arrested on Thursday night, March 16, after leading state troopers on a police chase from Brookfield into Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, with four kids in her minivan.

The chase began when a State Trooper stopped the minivan on I-94 in Waukesha County for equipment violations, but the van did not stop and kept going on the interstate.

The van eventually got off at Barker Road, but a few minutes later, it was back on the freeway headed East toward Milwaukee County.

Despite attempts to stop the vehicle, including the use of spike strips by a sheriff’s deputy, the minivan continued to evade police.

The pursuit finally ended when state troopers were able to spin the car out after it pulled off I-94 on 70th Street.

The woman, who was driving the car, was taken into custody and no injuries were reported.

The incident highlights the danger and risks involved in police chases, especially when children are present inside the vehicle.
