It was a bustling Saturday in the capital city, with both a high school girls’ State swim meet at Bismar State College and a basketball game taking place. The day kicked off with the 200 yard relay, where the Century Patriots’ team, consisting of Kylie Duk, Shire Masson, Tivus Abigail Jablonsky, and Aubrey Caster, claimed victory with a strong finish.

Moving on to the 200 yard freestyle, it was a tightly contested race, but Shanley’s Brooklyn Hansen dominated throughout and emerged as the winner. In the 200 yard individual medley, West Cheyen’s Lauren McDon came from behind and secured the first-place position.

The 50-yard freestyle turned out to be the most intense event of the day, with both Legacy’s Abby Ericson and Fargo Davies’ Helen Woo finishing with an identical time of 24.57 seconds, resulting in a tie for first place. When it came to the team results, the Century Patriots once again demonstrated their dominance by claiming their eighth State title in the last nine years.
