Every day, see your traffic as a new opportunity. Earlier today, a bar on the north side was one of many businesses that fell victim to burglary. Reporting live from outside Gannon’s Pub, here’s Glenn Marshall with the latest details. Good morning, everyone.
We’re currently situated at the intersection of Lincoln and Comb Avenues, where several businesses appear to have been targeted by burglars overnight. We have obtained surveillance footage from Gannon’s Pub, which shows how the suspects broke into the establishment early this morning. In the video, you can see a car pulling up to the location on the right side of the screen, followed by the suspects breaking the glass door.
The husband of the owner mentioned that nothing seemed to be missing at the time of the incident. However, we do know that at least three other locations on Lincoln Avenue have reported burglaries. The police are actively investigating a series of robberies that occurred this morning. Frustration is palpable among the owners, who are concerned about the constant need to deal with these issues.
One owner of the Against Club expressed frustration, stating, “Having to wake up at 2 o’clock in the morning and sit here for hours to repair the damage to the building is exhausting. Moreover, the damage isn’t even substantial enough to receive an insurance payout. It’s hard work for just one business.” Crews are currently on-site, boarding up the affected businesses.
At this point, the police have not apprehended any suspects in connection with these burglaries..
