Fort Lauderdale police and the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) are currently investigating a shooting incident on the on-ramp to northbound I-95 at Sunrise Boulevard.

The scene unfolded early this morning as authorities responded to reports of a disturbance on the on-ramp.

Upon arrival, investigators discovered a white Mercedes SUV with numerous bullet holes.

Both the FHP and Fort Lauderdale police were present at the scene, examining the vehicle closely.

Visual evidence captured a closer view of the bullet-ridden SUV, showcasing the extensive damage inflicted upon the doors and windows.

Bullet casings were also found scattered along the on-ramp and Sunrise Boulevard.

As a result, the on-ramp leading to Sunrise Boulevard on I-95 northbound has been temporarily closed to facilitate the investigation.

Law enforcement officials are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Details about potential suspects or motives remain scarce at this time.

Inquiries have been made to both the local police and the Florida Highway Patrol for additional information, and updates will be provided as soon as they become available.
