The Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle TN have announced that they will be embarking on a $2 million renovation project for their North Nashville location.
This news comes as the organization celebrates 120 years of providing a safe space for children and families in the area.
The North Nashville location currently provides programs for kids aged 5 to 18, including a STEM lab for online tech learning assessments.
The organization has seen great success, with over 80% of kids going on to finish post-secondary training.
In order to continue providing a safe and engaging space for kids, the organization will be investing in safety items and a total renovation of the 15,000 square feet of space, as well as adding on an additional 3,500 square feet for a teen center which will include a tax base and teaching kitchen.
The new center will offer lessons in coding, music, and culinary arts with the goal of empowering young people.
Construction is set to begin soon, and the organization is committed to serving Middle Tennessee children for another 120 years.
