Bitterly cold temperatures and strong winds are in store for St.

Louis today, despite the start of astronomical spring just a few days away.

While there is sunshine to be had, it will not be enough to make up for the cold air blowing through the area.

The cherry blossoms at the Botanical Garden have not bloomed yet, but the cold weather could still damage those that have already flowered.

The current temperature in St.

Charles is 23 degrees, but the wind chill makes it feel like it’s in the single digits.

Temperatures are expected to warm up slightly to around 30 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day.

However, wind gusts will continue to be a factor.

On Tuesday, the area will experience on-and-off rain showers that will continue through Wednesday and Thursday.

Temperatures will rise to almost 70 degrees on Thursday, with the possibility of a few storms.

Friday will see a drop in temperatures to 58 degrees.

Monday marks the Spring Equinox, with equal parts day and night and the sun’s position directly over the equator.

Warmer weather is on its way to the northern hemisphere, while the southern hemisphere prepares for colder weather.
