The search for missing Bay Area radio DJ, Jeffrey “JV” Vandergrift, has come to a tragic end.
The San Francisco medical examiner’s office confirmed that a body found in the water at Pier 39 is that of the popular Wild 94.9 show host.
Vandergrift had been reported missing on February 23rd and had not been seen since.
The San Francisco police were called to the scene after the body was discovered.
No further information about the cause of death has been released.
Vandergrift was a beloved figure in the local radio scene and his station, Wild 94.9, posted a tribute to him last week, thanking him for his contributions over the years.
